Currently healing the ick that money gives me. I grew up poor and saw the ramifications of not having money. It wasn't just "I don't have enough food to eat." or "the lights are off this month." It was the forced isolation that the lack of money caused. People were so judgmental and it cultivated a resentment in me for those that have money. Now, I'm grown with a complex about a resource that's necessary to live how I want to live. Thanks for the thought provoking piece.
Hey Shareece, this is a really great piece! It's a subject I never really put much thought into, but I've always been torn on this for the reasons you've stated. In my fantasy world, I wish money didn't exist and we can all just live the lifestyle we desire, but I can't ignore the reality of the society we live in, how it runs, and the lack of solutions I have to combat it.
